What is the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun?

The Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun is made from 100% remy human hair. It’s your bun, but better - a fast and easy solution to make your natural bun look thicker. It comes in a standard length of 14-inches and a weight of 60 grams. The Clip-In Bun is best suited for those that can’t achieve a full bun with their natural hair. You should have a thin to medium hair type and not a lot of hair strands.

It features four combs on either side of the netting that are located inside the bun to latch under the base of your natural bun. Plus, it has a drawstring pull system that tightens the bun to ensure it remains secure in place the entire time you are wearing it.

What does the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun come with?

It comes with a tester swatch to compare the color against your hair, 2 bobby pins (black, brown, or blonde depending on the shade ordered) and the circular pink storage box in which it arrives in can be used for storage purposes.

Is the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun made from human hair?

Compared to other clip-in buns on the market, the Luxy Clip-In Bun is made of 100% remy human hair which is the best way to achieve a natural look. Our Clip-In Bun looks and feels real (because it is!) so it will blend naturally with your hair. Synthetic hair (which is made out of various blended fibers that contain no human hair) is generally stiff, coarse to the touch, shiny and moves differently from human hair which won’t blend as well with your natural hair. 

What kinds of hairstyles can I create using the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun?

You can achieve many different looks to suit your preference whether that be a polished tight bun, a loose and messy effortless bun or even to thicken up your top knot for a half-up half-down hairstyle. 

How long does my hair need to be to wear the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun?

Your hair needs to be long enough to wrap it into a tight bun using a hair tie. If your hair is quite short, you can also split your hair in half to create a half-up half-down look and wear the Clip-In Bun as a top knot.

Should I match the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun color to my natural hair color? Can I wear a different color?

We recommend matching your Clip-In Bun to the mid-ends of your hair (the hair color that will be visible right above where you will be applying your bun). For help choosing your perfect match, check out our help page here. You can definitely wear a different color bun from your natural hair - this works best if you have a solid hair color. We understand that it can be hard determining your perfect Luxy color match from a computer screen and we at Luxy Hair want your purchase to be risk and anxiety-free. If it isn’t an ideal match, we are more than happy to accommodate a return or exchange as long as the main compartment of your Luxy box has not been opened and the golden security seal has not been tampered with within 60 days of purchase. Is the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun suitable for all hair textures and types?

How does the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun secure?

We went through multiple variations in the size of our Clip-In Buns (the length of each of the hairs and how wide the bun is overall) before we landed on our finished product to ensure the bun isn’t too large or overly bulky. We can say with full confidence that we designed the most natural-looking bun on the market!

Can I wear the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun with my Luxy Hair set in a half-up half-down hairstyle?

Yes, you can wear the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun in a half-up half-down hairstyle. You can also wear your Luxy Hair extensions in the lower half of your head & apply your Clip-In Bun in the upper region of your head (top knot or lower region of the top of your scalp).

Can I have the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun cut?

Yes, if you’d like to have the Clip-In Bun cut or trimmed you can have a professional hairstylist do this. Be sure to have it applied during your haircut appointment. 

Can I dye/tone/bleach the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun?

Since it is made of 100% remy human hair, it can be colored a darker shade by a professional hair colorist. We do not recommend getting it bleached, as bleaching is a harmful process that will alter the quality and integrity of your set. How long will the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun last?

The typical lifespan of a Clip-In Bun is 3 months to a year, depending on how often it is worn, washed, and how well it is cared for. 

Are there any different care instructions for the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun?

We recommend purchasing sulfate-free and alcohol-free products. Keep in mind, the less you wash your Clip-In Bun, the longer it will last. Unlike traditional clip-in hair extensions, the Clip-In Bun is not applied directly to the scalp and therefore, does not need to be washed as frequently. We recommend only washing when there is significant product buildup.

Always brush your Clip-In Bun gently, starting from the bottom and working your way to the top using the Loop Hair Extensions Brush. Before washing, carefully brush through any tangles. Wet your Clip-In Bun with lukewarm water, then apply a small amount of shampoo and carefully massage the hair. Next, rinse out the shampoo and apply conditioner. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry. Can I apply heat to the Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun?

Yes, it can be styled using hot tools since it is made from 100% remy human hair. In order to preserve and extend the lifespan of your Luxy Hair Clip-In Bun, we suggest to always use a heat protectant spray prior to heat styling. Additionally, we recommend only using a low heat setting of 120C/250F, as anything higher runs the risk of damaging the hair.

The reason why we recommend opting for a lower heat setting is because it will prolong its lifespan. While our natural hair may be able to handle a high heat setting, our hair is also constantly getting revitalized from the scalp, whereas hair extensions don't get that sort of nutrition.
