How do I use the Stay All Day Tape on my Topper?

Updated by Trish

Before Use

Before using our Topper Stay All Day Tape, we recommend that you complete a patch test:

  1. Clean the skin behind your ear with 99% alcohol.
  2. Stick a small piece of the tape to the prepped area.
  3. Place a protective bandage over the tape.
  4. Allow the tape to sit for at least 24 hours. Refrain from use in the case where the skin is agitated.

To Apply the Tape:

  1. Decide how many tape pieces are needed based on your hair growth pattern or for added security.
    1. Choose the number of pieces of tape and the size of the pieces based on how much of the Topper rests against the skin of your hairline. Only tape down areas that touch skin; do not tape the Topper to hair.
  2. Cut tape pieces between 1/2 inch to 1.5 inches long, based on the size of the area to be taped.
  3. Cleanse the scalp area and silicone strip on the Topper with 99% alcohol to remove anything that may prevent the tape from sticking. Let them dry completely.
  4. Peel one side of the tape liner, place tape on the front edge of the Hair Topper, being careful not to catch any hair, and press firmly for 10 seconds.
  5. Repeat the process for additional tape pieces as needed.
  6. Apply the Hair Topper to your head, ensuring the taped section sits on your scalp only (not on hair). Flip the edge of the Topper up to expose the tape and remove the remaining liner to expose the sticky side. Flip the edge of the Topper back down and press the tape sections firmly down on the skin for 10 seconds.
The Stay All Day Tape is single-use. Please use new tape pieces each time you apply your Topper.

Tape Placement Options

You can use 1-3 pieces of tape of various sizes for each application. The placement will depend on what areas of skin the Topper rests against once applied. Apply tape to areas that will rest against skin only.

To Remove the Tape:

  1. Dab rubbing alcohol along the edges of the tape with a cotton ball or swab.
  2. Slowly lift the Hair Topper until the tape releases easily.
  3. Use another cotton ball or swab with rubbing alcohol to lift the edges of the tape and gently peel it off the Topper to be discarded.
