How do I choose the right Luxy Hair set?

When choosing your weight, it's important to opt for a set that best matches your hair type, how much hair you have, and your haircut. For example, if you have lots of hair strands, a blunt haircut, or short hair you will need to consider a heavier weight to ensure there is a natural blend where your hair ends and the extensions begin.
How long does my hair need to be?
Clip-Ins Your hair should be at least 6-7 inches long (which is around shoulder length). The reason why this is the recommended length is that your hair needs to be long enough in order for the clips to secure onto your hair sturdily, and to ensure that the clips don't show through your short hair.
Halo® Hair Extensions Your hair should be past your shoulders for the Halo to blend in naturally. We do not recommend Halo® hair extensions for those with short hair as you will need more wefts and hair to create a seamless blend.
Ponytail Extension Your hair should be long enough to tie into a bun or ponytail (either low, medium, or high). The most important thing to keep in mind is that there should be a bun or an existing ponytail that the Luxy Hair Ponytail Extension can attach to
How do I find out what hair type I have?
This is a thicker set and it comes with 10 wefts (two 4-clip, two 3-clip, two 2-clip, and four 1-clip).
This is an ideal set for you if you fit all the below points:
- Hair strand texture: You have a medium or thick hair type
- Hair density: You have an average amount of hair
- Hair length: Your hair is medium to long in length
- Hair cut: You have a tapered or layered haircut
This is our longest set and it comes with 10 wefts (two 4-clip, two 3-clip, two 2-clip, and four 1-clip). It is the same density as our 20" 180g Seamless Clip-Ins; but weighs more due to the extra length.
This is an ideal set for you if you fit all the below points:
- Hair strand texture: You have a thin or medium hair type
- Hair density: You have an average amount of hair
- Hair length: Your hair is medium to long in length
- Hair cut: You have a tapered or layered haircut
Note: Even if you want a longer length choosing a set that is too thin will result in an unnatural blend with stringy and thin ends.
Seamless Clip-Ins
- Hair strand texture: You have a thin or medium hair type
- Hair density: You have a below to average amount of hair
- Hair length: Your hair is 12" or shorter in length
- Hair cut: You have a tapered or layered haircut
12" 150g Seamless set
This is a thinner/medium set and it comes with 10 wefts (two 4-clip, two 3-clip, two 2-clip, and four 1-clip).
This is an ideal set for you if you fit all the below points:
- Hair strand texture: You have a thin or medium hair type
- Hair density: You have a below to average amount of hair
- Hair length: Your hair is 12" or shorter in length
- Hair cut: You have a tapered or layered haircut
This is a medium-thickness set and it comes with 10 wefts (two 4-clip, two 3-clip, two 2-clip, and four 1-clip).
This is an ideal set for you if you fit all the below points:
- Hair strand texture: You have a thin or medium hair type
- Hair density: You have an average amount of hair
- Hair length: Your hair is medium to long in length
- Hair cut: You have a tapered or layered haircut
This is our longest Seamless set and it comes with 10 wefts (two 4-clip, two 3-clip, two 2-clip, and four 1-clip).

- Hair length: Your hair is past your shoulders, up to 12" in length
- Hair cut: You have a tapered or layered haircut
20" 180g
This a medium-thickness set and it comes with 3 wefts (one Halo® hair extension weft and two 2-clips). It is the same density as our 16" Halo but it weighs more due to the longer length.
