Can I wash and heat style the 12” 150g Seamless set?
Our Luxies can be washed just like your own hair, however, we encourage you to be gentle with your set as it has undergone color treatment. As a general rule, the less you wash your extensions the longer they will last you. You can use your best judgment on how often to wash them. If your extensions feel like they’re becoming increasingly difficult to style, this is likely a sign that there is product build-up and they need to be washed. We recommend washing them after every 25-30 wears.
You can wash your Luxies in cool or lukewarm water, using sulfate-free and alcohol-free shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo should be rinsed out quickly within 30-60 seconds, and we highly recommend to also use a conditioner afterward to moisturize the hair, otherwise, your Luxies may feel dry and/or tangly.
Be sure to check out this blog post for step by step instructions on how to wash your Luxies. When styling your Seamless extensions with a heat styling tool, we recommend setting your tool at 120C/250F degrees or lower. Anything higher may run the risk of damaging the hair. This is because the hair is not being revitalized at the scalp like our natural hair is, and over time excessive heat and high temperatures may cause wear and tear to your set, and could potentially loosen the silicone bond with the hair.
